WNC Sculpture Center
A former gymnasium as part of the Patterson School, this 10,000 sq. ft. building hosts the WNC Sculpture Center. We are currently holding a fundraising campaign to build ADA Compliant Restrooms and an indoor sculpture gallery! With 30 ft. ceilings, we offer a studio space for sculptors to work on a large scale. The building is outfitted with general, private, and community studios.
Workshops, classes and demonstrations are held at the sculpture center.
Sculpture Park
The 12-acre sculpture park is located on the Historic Patterson School Campus. The park is free and open to the public, offering a destination for visitors with an annual rotating outdoor sculpture exhibition. Set within a beautiful landscape, the park features open fields and hiking trails.
Gallery

The Western North Carolina Sculpture Center is excited to announce the opening of our new indoor gallery space, adding an enhanced dimension to our existing 12-acre sculpture park and trail experience. Located at our facility in Lenoir, NC, the WNC Sculpture Gallery showcases rotating exhibitions of contemporary sculptural works alongside our outdoor collection of nearly 100 sculptures.
Our gallery space represents a significant milestone in our mission to inspire the creation and appreciation of sculpture in the landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Thanks to the dedication of our Board of Directors, volunteers, and community supporters, this new venue allows us to expand our programming and provide visitors with year-round opportunities to engage with sculptural arts. The gallery is open Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 PM, offering an intimate setting to experience artwork that complements our outdoor sculpture trail, which remains free and open to the public daily from dawn until dusk.
