WNC Sculpture
WNCSC Mission & Vision
Our Mission
The Western North Carolina Sculpture Center exists to inspire the creation and appreciation of sculpture amid the timeless landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
At WNCSC, we are dedicated to connecting people with the arts through exhibitions, interactions with artists, and the opportunity to experience creative processes in a welcoming environment.
Our Vision
Our vision at WNC Sculpture is to enrich the community by offering a unique series of opportunities to access creative processes that encourage hands-on engagement.
We at WCNCSC aim to inspire creativity by direct visitor participation and a rich understanding of sculptural processes coming directly from our working and visiting artists. Our exhibitions, programs, and events aim to foster comprehension of a range of personal and creative perspectives as we balance traditional sculptural processes with contemporary practices.
Educational programming at WNCSC augments an experiential art curriculum for grades K-12 with activities not typically found in a traditional school setting, and our workshops for military veterans cultivate a vibrant and welcoming craft space in appreciation for their courage and sacrifice.
