WNC Sculpture Park and future home of the WNC Sculpture Center.
Located in beautiful Happy Valley outside of Lenoir, NC the Western North Carolina Sculpture Center aims to offer engaging and robust arts programming to the surrounding community.
The Western North Carolina Sculpture Center is dedicated to connecting people with the arts through exhibitions, interaction with artists, and the opportunity to experience creative processes while providing an inclusive environment.
The Western North Carolina Sculpture Park is the early iteration of the Sculpture Center. We are currently working to renovate the gymnasium located on the former Patterson School campus. We have outdoor sculptures installed and will be working to increase these numbers.
Our first order of business is to replace the roof on the gym. Once that is in place, our programming and studio facilities will be ramped up and offered to the public.
COVID-19: Health and Safety Update
Temporary Suspension of all official activities at WNCSC Effective March19
During this difficult time, The Wester North Carolina Sculpture Center's top priority is to protect and support our visitors, staff and volunteers. We believe we must do all that we can to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our community, which calls for us to minimize gatherings and reduce potential exposure to this dangerous virus. Therefore, we are suspending all activities on the Patterson School Campus and Sculpture Park, (according to NC executive order) effective March 19.
We look forward to soon announcing when we’ll be able to welcome our staff and visitors back to the Patterson School Campus.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support.
